Scarlett is completely obsessed with movies, she often finds herself daydreaming about her favorite films and truly believes that movies are not so different from real life. Her obsession with the movies is taking a toll on her relationships so she decides to take a temporary break from everyone in her life to house sit in Notting Hill (which just so happens to be one of her favorite movies). She sets off hoping to prove to her father, fiance and best friend that real life can be like the movies. During this quest, she meets Oscar, Ursula and Sean who all support and encourage her love of films in a way that no one else in her life can or will. In her month long vacation from life, Scarlett starts to really live out her dreams and is forced to reevaluate what is missing from her current situation.

So I'll be honest, I started reading this book solely because I'm a bit obsessed with Love Actually and figured if that's in the title then it must be good. While that may be the reason I began reading, I continued because I really liked Scarlett and found myself relating to her. Scarlett's obsession with films is like my obsession with books, I too find myself trying to live out my favorite novels. I can't tell you how many times I've reenacted the "and in that moment we were infinite" scene from the Perks of Being a Wallflower or pretended my dog was like Enzo from The Art of Racing in the Rain. I know what its like to really love something enough to want to make it happen in real life so I knew how Scarlett felt and I was genuinely happy for her throughout her journey. For some people, Scarlett may have gotten too caught up in her movie fantasies but I honestly didn't mind it. More than anything though, I love that she gets her fairytale ending(but I won't tell just what that is since I don't want to spoil the book).

Overall, this was another quick, easy-to-get-into novel that ends positively. It's perfect for when you need a happy book.
